The July 2005 Angel Award goes to: Bonnie Zimmerman of Project Bird Watch! I was reading a copy of Best Friends magazine recently (a publication of the Best Friends Animal Society) and read an article about a woman named Bonnie Zimmerman who, with a group of other concerned individuals, has convinced people in the village of Saka on Seram, in the Moluccan Islands of Indonesia, to give up trapping parrots for the trade of eco-tourism!
